There are 4 main arms to the Navy, the Surface Fleet, Fleet Air Arm, Submarine Service and the Royal Marines. You have 35 different areas within the Royal Navy, each role having various entry requirements. However, there are also certain specific requirements in order to join the Royal Navy.
