Key Responsibilities                     

Deliver of medical care to patients with surgical disorders. This involves participation in out-patient clinics, endoscopy sessions, management of in-patients and performance of surgical operations. Also participation in audit, research and training of more junior staff.

What advice do you have for anyone considering a career within the sector?

As with all jobs, the positive aspects are balanced by the negative aspects, and the public sector is no different in this respect. However, there exists great potential for relative independence of working and job satisfaction.
